Fake This song is by The Frames and appears on the album Burn the Maps (). You're telling me I should forget you But why? And you're talking like I never knew you But that's a lie And you're playing out your game again Why are you never on my side? And you're telling me I should forget you Come on the guy's a fake What do you love him for? And it was my mistake .

The Frames could have used more tracks with consistent, engaging tones. Instead Burn the Maps often sounds like simplicity transformed into bloat in an attempt to sound interesting.

'Burn The Maps' is their first release in these circumstances and therefore carries a great deal of expectation. It's unfortunate, then, that our first impression of this album should be a bad one. 'Finally', with its dull, chugging guitars and weak chorus, was a poor choice as a lead-off single and it's the lowest point of this record.

On a live album, Glen says that this song is about being at a festival and meeting this wonderful girl but she is lured away by a guy with a nicer tent. "Fake" Track Info Burn the Maps The Frames.

Burn the Maps is a cracker of a disc. It still possesses that sleepy style of 'From The Birds' but invests some of that pop and crackle from 'Dance the Devil'. Basically this album has a couple of clear singles in 'Happy' and 'Fake' which 'For the Birds' just didn't have/5(27).
