   The live concert section of the DVD contains 8 songs, a couple from Glory Road, a couple fo newer tracks at the time as well as others including a couple of re-worked tracks from the Ian Gillan Band albums. This band really smokes in a live setting and was of the reasons they were a top concert draw.

   For the proof, just check out the amount of "Gillan" patches you spot on longhaired headbangers' denim jackets entering the Hammersmith Odeon to see Iron Maiden (in ) on Maiden's The Early Days DVD. And as evidenced by the DVD, Glory Years, Gillan certainly had a top-notch rock band to back him up on-stage during this pre-Purple.

   The Glory Years [DVD] [] Gillan. out of 5 stars DVD. £ Next. Gillan's voice is way too loud to the detriment of the rest of the band. I saw Gillan on this tour and the DVD is an accurate depiction of what they were like live - very very good! Bernie Torme deserves special mention; he is every bit as good as I remember. Reviews: 9.
